Accounting

The Finance Department manages the accounting and financial preparation functions for the City; maintains the payroll system with checks issued bi-monthly; processes monthly miscellaneous accounts receivable and utility billings; processes annual Local Improvement Districts billings; maintains a monthly statement of revenue and expenditures to all departments and other reports as requested. The Finance staff prepares the Financial Annual Report and the City of Toppenish Annual Budget for publication.

Business License

To comply with Washington State Law, Chapter 19.02 RCW, providing for a centralized, “one-stop” process for business licensing known as the Business Licensing Service, the City has partnered with the State of Washington Department of Revenue. All business licenses are purchased online with Business Licensing Service. Or, if you prefer you can visit the Yakima Department of Revenue Office or call (509) 454-5160 with questions.

New Operating Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Extended Hours:

To accommodate specific needs, City Hall will remain open until 5:00 PM on the following days each month:

• 15th day of each month  (Last day prior to late fee) 
•  22nd day of each month  (Last day prior to shut off fee)
•  23rd day of each month  (Water shut off day) 

If the 15th or 22nd falls on a weekend or holiday, City Hall will extend its hours until 5:00 PM on the next business day.

Horario extendido:

Para satisfacer necesidades específicas, el Ayuntamiento permanecerá abierto hasta las 5:00 p. m. los siguientes días de cada mes:

Día 15 de cada mes (Último día antes del cargo por pago atrasado) 

Día 22 de cada mes (Último día antes del cargo por cierre de agua)

Día 23 de cada mes (Día de corte de agua)

Si el día 15 o 22 cae en fin de semana o festivo, el Ayuntamiento ampliará su horario hasta las 5:00 p.m del siguiente día hábil.
