NOTICE: beginning Monday, July 21, 2025, the Development Services and Public Works Customer Service personnel will officially relocate to Toppenish City Hall, located at 21 West 1st Avenue in Toppenish. The move is expected to improve coordination between departments, help reduce wait times and improve service delivery and provide a one-stop-shop experience for residents and developers.
All phone numbers and contact information for Development Services and Public Works will remain the same. The City encourages residents to visit City Hall starting July 21 ,2025 for any related services.

The Public Works Department is responsible for the planning, programming, construction, maintenance, and operations of the city’s water, sewer, refuse, cemetery, streets, and city facilities. Public Works provides public services for utilities that contribute to public health and safety.

Hazardous Waste
The Public Works Department does not pick up hazardous waste. Household hazardous chemicals (paint, pesticides, and pool chemicals) should be taken to the Hazardous Waste Facility located at the Cheyne Landfill. If you have any questions, contact Public Works Administration at (509) 865-4500.
